Construction Administration

The Construction Administration Division at Wallace Structural Engineers (WSE) has experienced and certified inspectors with a broad background in the construction process. WSE’s field engineers and personnel will help insure that the structural portions of the project are constructed in accordance with the design intent as set forth in the contract documents and are well prepared to respond rapidly to construction related problems.

The field engineers and personnel assigned to a project begin with a thorough familiarization of the project to ensure a seamless transition of information between the design and construction phases. The field engineers and personnel collaborate with the design team frequently when responding to RFI’s, reviewing shop drawings and solving construction related problems.

Site visits are scheduled to observe work at key phases of construction. A Structural Engineering Observation Report is prepared after each visit. Deficiencies noted during the inspection are followed up by WSE until their resolution is documented. WSE’s field engineers and personnel also coordinate and collaborate with testing/inspecting agencies and Special Inspectors to insure the owner that the finished structure meets the building code requirements.
